When Canadian Home Trends Magazine found my Holiday Ideabook on Houzz this Summer and asked if they could include it in their Fall 2013 issue I said yes and hooray!

Christmas in Canadian Home Trends Magazine

Love the cover of the white kitchen. Of course I would approve ; ) ; )

And here’s the spread from my townhouse in North Vancouver (above). My current house will be photographed this Thursday decorated for the holidays, can’t wait to show you!

So if you are a designer and not on Houzz yet! What are you waiting for?

When I saw my friend Lyla Veinot (she’s right of me above) at the CDECA Christmas Lunch  last week, she was casually showing me images she had snapped with her iPhone of her holiday decor and I said, ‘You should put those on Houzz, you never know what might happen’. And she did, here they are.

A big thanks to Canadian Home trends for featuring my home!

PS. Have you sent your Christmas cards out yet? I figured out how it works by the way, the amount you receive really dwindles down if you haven’t sent any out yourself for a few years. Eeeeek, I need to get right on it!

  1. I used your link to take a look at the pictures. They are beautiful. Love the way the presents are wrapped.
I don’t recall you mentioning your orange painted table. So cute. You’ve got me thinking about painting mine. I have a similar table.

  2. Congratulations, Maria. Another step forward!

Love the sunny, happy, “fun” feeling of your take on traditional Christmas red and green, and very excited to see your new home pics. Your friend Lyla’s home is beautiful – the way every vignette flows into another, it’s as if you could float through her entire home with a somewhat beatific smile on your face.

Hope you and Terreeia and your entire family have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year. Eager for your evaluation of 2013 goals and setting of those for 2014.

  3. Ah Maria, you are a treasure! Thank you so much for adding a link to my Houzz.com profile to show off my Christmas decorating! If it weren’t for your advice I wouldn’t even be on Houzz.com and wouldn’t have the exposure that I am currently enjoying. So, thank you for that too!

Congratulations on your spread in Canadian Home Trends – I forgot how pretty & scrumptious your townhouse looked all decorated for Christmas. Can’t wait to see the pics of your new home too.

Merry Christmas to you & yours!

  4. Congrats on the colorful spread. I especially liked your color combinations on gift wrap. I’m looking forward to seeing your present home’s decorations. Merriest Christmas to you and your loved ones.
