When my client and her husband built a summer house right beside their home in the Fraser Valley and we started talking about the colour scheme, my first suggestion was an indigo coloured sectional which inspired the summery, nautical theme as well as created flow from the exterior since both homes were blue and white outside.
This is also their guest house and inside it's a small space with the focus on their large deck and pool for outdoor entertaining. Introducing a sectional was the best way of defining the living area from the rest of the interior.
I'm showing you a sneak peek today but you'll see the rest of it this week.

Love this West Elm Outdoor Bench for pool towels and beach bags.
When we got home from Christina Lake this evening my House Beautiful magazine was in the mailbox.
The September issue this month is all about the magic of Indigo. I've really noticed blue everywhere lately, from indigo to royal blue to navy blue, timeless blue is on the front pages of design.
