Five Accessories Everyone should have in their Home

By 08/08/2010January 16th, 202018 Comments

The most exciting thing about my new place is that I have space–which equals endless opportunities for vignettes and tablescapes–which play a huge part in creating atmosphere in your home. In the years that I have been decorating, there is a common theme on accessories that are usually missing in a client’s home and the top 5 accessories are just for my newsletter subscribers this August.

My August newsletter, will be sent out early this week. Click here to subscribe, it’s free, and you’ll be able to read the rest of the article when it arrives in your in-box (just once a month). You will also receive my special free report, Top 3 Decorating mistakes homeowners make and how to avoid them, and a bonus, my go-to colours. You will also get access to a years worth of special articles only available to my subscribers!
We managed to get our entertainment console assembled and I took some photos which I’ll post tomorrow! So much better than the ‘before’, it’s so nice to sit in my living room now!
Hope you are having a happy weekend!

As long as they are carefully edited, accessories are the soul of a room

Love your blog. I've signed up for your newsletter. Sometimes it comes. More often it doesn't which I wouldn't notice if not for the blog post saying that something is for newsletter subscribers only, yet I have nothing in my inbox. I don't know why this is, but it makes me want to stop checking your blog. Also having to sign up for a newsletter to get an article is kind of annoying to begin with. I know you're trying to get subscribers, but is there not another way?

I am a subscriber but I can't seem to get the newsletters or see the list of the 5 accessories. I love all your thoughts about color, wish I had known you were in Houston not that long ago.

    Hi Belinda,
The August newsletter is coming out this week (it would be past newsletters that might be in your junk mail not this month), so if you don't get it by the end of this week, email me directly and I'll send it to you.

Liking your blog. Liking your newsletter. Keep it up! Readers need to make sure that they mark your emails as 'preferred sender' so they don't end up as spam!

    Thank you Maria,

I must have misread as I thought the newsletter had already gone out. Silly me 🙂 I did sign up again and received a confirmation email so I think it will work now.

Loving what your doing with your new place!

    Maria,
I love, love, LOVE both your blog (I have learned so much!)and newsletter.

Could you tell me how I can go back and look at old newsletters? I waited until I got the current issue thinking that I could see the old ones – but no luck.
    Thanks
    Maggie
