True Colour Expert Jennifer Duchene Interviews Me

By 01/22/2011January 23rd, 201712 Comments

The other day when Kelly from Restyling Home posted this interview with me, one of my readers emailed me and said ‘Maria it could have been loooooonger’. So here’s another one. Jennifer Duchene is one of the talented designers that attended my last True Colour Expert Workshop in September, her blog and business is called Lift your Spirits Home Transformations (love that name).

Jennifer Duchene

She asked some good questions like ‘Who is the quintessential you, when you are not working?’

My Atlanta course coming up February 3, 4 & 5th has been sold out for about a month and I will schedule another date as soon as this one is complete.  I still have some spots available in Vancouver February 17, 18 & 19, so if you have decided that this is the year you want to ‘Learn to see Colour like a Pro’ then now is the time to jump in! Email me at [email protected] if you have any more questions or want to have a conversation with me to find out if it’s right for you!

By the way I just signed up for this conference the other day and tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day to get the early bird rate so if you still haven’t registered or don’t even know anything about it, then click here for more information. If you haven’t started your blog yet, click here for some great advice on how to do it and then you’ll be a blogger too!
It’s the Very First. Design. Bloggers. Conference.

For the networking alone, it’s gotta be worth it! And it’s in LA. It’ll still be raining here and not quite Spring, the daffodils won’t be out yet, but they might be there! So come on and join me, plus I need a roommate, I think it’s always more fun to share a room with someone at a conference like this!

Are you going?

If you would like your home to fill you with happiness every time you walk in, contact me for on-line or in-person consultations.

Maria..just let me know when you get to Houston or Dallas. :o) I'll be waiting to sign up–Tee-hee! I LOVED your interview! It was very interesting. I'm always interested in your passion for relationships and how people tick and your blogging advice too–so valuable!

BTW, my dear daughter just ran my brand new (to me) Dodge Neon into the back of a pick up truck, where a policeman was stationed and watching. She was at a complete stop, the guy in front moved, and so did she, but he stopped again suddenly due to traffic in front. Bang! Sigh…

Some Mother and Father/daughter lessons to be learned here. I was only five minutes behind her and got to stand and comfort her as the police talked to her and gave her her first ticket. She was in tears..which is rare for her.

Soooo…I'm just glad she's FINE and OK…and however high the price to my car..I'm fine with it. This was an overdue lesson needing to be learned for her. To slow down and be more careful, I mean.

Life sometimes hands you lovely daffodils (I LOVE THOSE FLOWERS!!)..and sometimes not.

Thanks for your visit the other day. You are so sweet! :o)

    Enjoyed the interview.

    Both of you are inspirations!

Great interview, Maria. I'd love to go to the conference in LA. We are getting too much snow down south, so I could justify it for the sunshine alone! I should probably just focus on the other trip I'm taking in February – to Atlanta to see you 🙂 Cheers!

a lot of interesting post on your blog since my last time here a week ago! Have a fabulous weekend! I spent some wonderful days on ski. I'm back but I still have alpine daydreams 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend, Maria

  • Erin says:

I actually just reserved my spot at the conference! I can't wait to meet you!

Just read both interviews – such great information! I, too, am a Gemini. 🙂

I wish I could attend the Design Bloggers Conference but with a husband that works like a dog and 2 little boys and no family nearby, it's just too hard. I am attending Blogfest 2011 in NYC. Will you be coming? The itinerary looks amazing

Your Atlanta course is right down the road from me. I couldn't sign up though, as a non-working woman the price was a bit prohibitive for me, I couldn't justify it.

  • Jen says:

Dear Maria, you a so lovely and so kind and generous. I absolutely loved meeting you, interviewing you and what an honor to be featured on your blog. One of my bibles. Truly a joy to know you. I am seriously thinking about going to the LA conference. I sent you a note.

    Hi Maria

I will be at the LA conference…look forward to seeing you there. I am surprised you are not a speaker.

  • Sherri Cassara says:

Hi Maria, Thanks for the reminder on the conference … I just signed up ;.) Also, I enjoyed the interview and learning more about you. Interestingly I had just bought the book Emotional Intelligence on CD to listen to while I was on a road trip last week. I know I have read it before (or parts of it) years ago but wanted to read it again… unfortunately I never got a chance to put it on while I was driving but I will definitely be putting that on my 'to do' list. xo Sherri

  • Maria Killam says:

    HI Diane,
I'm surprised I'm not a speaker too 🙂 Sigh. I guess I'm not connected with the right people yet. . . that's why we're going to this thing right?

Look forward to meeting all of you!
    Thanks for your comment!
