Sneak Peek of the new Location of my Sofa

I am so tired from unpacking and we don’t have a kitchen! I’m so lucky that my sister and mom live so close!

Sorry for the dark photo, I snapped this last night, I am only now on-line! Can’t wait to show you my living/dining room, I had it set up on the first night, I would not allow a single moving box in there!

I’ll post more later! Have a great weekend! xo Maria

It is amazing that you have the time to post for us! It looks like home! Cannot wait to see all of the progress as it unfolds. Have a great day, Maria!

  • Looks like home (YOUR HOME) already!! Have a fun weekend putting the finishing touches on it.

Maria, Your organization and confidence in your own style have totally “colored me happy”. I love seeing how well you have orchestrated the renovations and added so many fun touches, like the orange closet and the fab kitchen. Can’t wait to see more, and I wish you plenty of rest as you move forward!

  • Oh, but even taking the photo at night … look how much light you have with that fantastic window! YAY!!!! You’re past the hardest part, and the best is yet to come!

Nice! Must be like an oasis in the midst of the other rooms full of moving boxes!

  • What a brilliant idea to say “NO” to boxes in your living spaces… you’ll feel so much more settled in as a result, and that will definitely lessen the stress of a move. Congrats on becoming a home owner!!

Very lovely. I am not a fan of bright yellow, but your sofa and your room look great. You are sunny and I am earthy but I enjoy your blog very much.

Be carefully putting the sofa in the sun Maria. That beautiful yellow will turn pale within a year from UV.

How exciting to move into a new home; makes me want to move again. It’s looking great even in the slightly dark photo.

I’m looking forward to seeing the reveal and how the new steps turned out; your precious jewel box of a living room. 🙂

  • Susan says:

Can’t believe how organized you are. It looks wonderful already…….love the yellow sofa!

  • Paula Van Hoogen says:

Ok, time out from packing…. yes! Good boundaries make happy home owners– (Keeping boxes out of LR).
Here’s an idea for sun fading of couch–top down/bottom up pleated (or not) shades.
Just pull them up from the sill enough during the sun hours to protect the couch and also gives you privacy, but you can see out of the top!
    OK, back to pack.

  • Good for you for making your living room /dining room your sanctuary with no boxes allowed in it. Moving is so exhausting isn’t it.
