Preselecting with Angie at You Look Fab

Angie Cox from You Look Fab

Last Friday I spent the morning with Angie from You Look Fab pre-selecting for fall prior to the Anniversary sale. Here are a few of the items I found:

I have been looking for this pair of ballet flats ever since I saw Traci Zeller in her Stuart Weitzman’s last year in my first True Colour Expert Workshop. These are not Stuart, but they are close to the same look!

Halogen Pencil Skirt

I have been looking for yellow skinny jeans but cannot find them. This skirt in yellow is a great versatile (for me) bottom to have. Angie suggested I wear it with a white top and jean jacket, a pendant and yellow pumps. But because she’ll never let anyone buy an orphan skirt we found an orange top to go with it.
This pendant had been purchased by two of Angie’s other clients. I snapped it up in gold. (source)
This is a great coat with dresses or skinnies! Since I have a thick waist I usually get rid of the belts on trenches, they make me look too wide. This one has a nice silhouette so it didn’t even need one.
When you are pre-selecting prior to the sale, you go into the tents set up all around the store, here I am in the jewelry tent trying on this scarf.

I bought it because it went so nicely with the jacket I was wearing that day and I loved the way she tied it around me. Another way to wear a scarf ladies!! It’s a square scarf that you wrap around once and then find the longest ends and tie them together!

If you live by a Nordstrom, you are so lucky, I love that store! I can happily wear everything I bought right now since it’s still raining in this town. I know you’ve heard this a lot on my blog this year but tonight there is even a special on TV about all the local business being affected by the lack of sun this summer! Here are Angie’s top picks from the sale!
My mom is building a little carriage house out in Yarrow where she bought property with my sister and brother-in-law this year so we are finalizing colours and shopping for lighting this weekend!
Happy Weekend!

Love the shoes, Maria! 😉 I probably need to buy a pair myself because my poor Stuart Weitzmans have been worn absolutely to death. But they go with everything and are perfectly polished! xoxo!

  • Love all these items! Last time you posted a shop with her, I was envious. Now I'm just downright jealous!! I am reading several posts as I've been out of the loop lately — I am also working on a carriage house. I can't wait to see how your mom's turns out. I love those colors to death! Hope you are well and keeping happy despite the weather.
