High Point and Comfortable Shoes

By 10/18/2010January 23rd, 201732 Comments
I’m here at High Point in North Carolina with some of my favourite people! It’s also the perfect place to test out the comfort level of the new fall shoes I bought with Angie at You Look Fab last weekend!

Love this polka dot vase with the yellow wall the colour of my sofa!
Here at the airport, I’m wearing my new oxfords that I picked up on my recent shopping trip with Angie at You look Fab, here’s a link to a post she’s written today on where to buy them. She has received a lot of requests on the footwear we bought together. These shoes with my insoles popped in them were so comfortable (my feet are wide instead of narrow).

Here is Lauren at Pure Style Home and Traci from Traci Zeller Designs Blog (my roommate at the hotel)! Traci was the first person to register for my True Colour Expert Workshops (new dates coming soon). It was so great to really get to know her on this trip! She is a very talented designer!

I need this ginger gar for my living room (at Gobal Views).

I finally got to meet Brooke at Velvet & Linen, a bunch of us had dinner at the Proximity Hotel on Saturday night. Here with my dress I was wearing this pumps from Macy’s, I would call them 4 hour shoes (that’s funny Angie and I are posting at the same time so we can link to each other and she called them 4 hour shoes too and that’s exactly what they are, she knows everything about fashion!!).

At The Proximity we sat outside until the wee hours with Eddie Ross and Jaithan after they stopped by for a visit (here’s Eddie with Lauren and her husband Dave)!
I got to meet Laura Jens, another reader of my blog!
Loved this orange chair!
I met one of my readers Gloria De Lourdes with Blalock Interiors at Market! Here I’m wearing these shoes from Macys, they are actually Naturalizers if you can believe it. Totally comfortable, I wore them all day!
These were some very cool decorative roses that were also at Global Views.
Amanda from AB Home Interiors was also here at market, buying furniture for her showroom in Nashville.
Click here if you are interested in where I got my footwear. Someone asked me if my Oxfords were vintage, last night. I’ve never had such stylish shoes, I can’t wait to wear my over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots!
I’m still here until Tuesday morning!

Maria, What fun pictures of you and your friends! I wish I could join them. :o) You look really nice in your new clothes and especially the new shoes. I can hardly believe some of them work for four hours! What a find!

Thanks, too, for sharing your great weekend with us and for the extra photos about pretty things you have seen. I just love those. I'm seeing color everywhere thanks to you!

BTW, I mentioned you as 'Step 6'on my post about transforming your master bedroom using Flylady steps. I was given luxurious new bedding and curtains (haven't got the curtains up yet) and I think they will go great with the Grass Cloth (Behr400D) green that we picked. (At least I think so??!) Hubby sure does love the new comforter!

I'm so sorry I haven't painted yet, but I have to get the house, bills, and commitments all in order before I can take off to paint again. But it will happen! No more sewing projects until the other is done. And we are on the verge of closing on Dad's house.I'm determined to paint!

    See you soon.:o)

You girls look like you're having so much fun catching up and putting personalities to names. Love all the shoes except your seasons are upside down! And I think you're so lucky(or maybe we're so lucky) that you can take photos of the displays and post them for the world to see – instantly. Enjoy the next couple of days.
